This is a bad idea because it goes against the fundamental reason as to why you only have 8 skill slots; it forces you to put more thought into what build you use and where you use it. If you wanted to be able to change your build while out of town, you might as well ask for more skill slots instead, and for a removal of the 1 elite per bar limit.

Since you can map travel pretty much instantly, why not just save different builds to templates and change to those templates in town? If you are unable to make do w/ only 8 skills while between towns/outposts, then perhaps you just don't "get" the point of only being able to have 8 skills at any one time....

I am completely for this. This could simply appear over the weapons bar when in outposts. It'd be really useful for my characters, to switch from sword, axe, hammer, and a pve build.

ok for 1.......he specifically stated that you could only use it while in town lol no one is asking for the ability to switch skills out side of town.

second this thread was from 2005 long before skill templates were thought of so leave it alone lol, the problem has been solved
